BAAN SUAN LAYAN RESTAURANT CHERNG TALAY
The decor at Baan Suan Layan is very different and unusual with beautiful inside waterfalls and tropical gardens, chunky wooden furniture, orchid gardens, fish ponds with some of the biggest Koi fish I have ever seen and huge wooden decorative logs across the ceilings.
There is also a children playground out the front next to the huge car park. The grounds also have lots of animals such as little pigs, dogs, chickens and peacocks. This beautiful restaurant is past all the Laguna complexes at Cherng Talay on the way to Layan Beach and is not far from the Phuket Pavilions. It will take just over 30 minutes to drive there from Patong Beach.
Their Morning Glory crispy salad would have to be the best morning glory dish I have ever tasted. The bowl this meal was in is also edible as it is made from taro and the home made dipping sauce was sensational!! Another favorite and delicious dish is the Thai chicken and vegetable omelet or deep fried cuttlefish with garlic and pepper.
All the meals here are beautifully presented by very helpful staff and service is reasonably quick.
Baan Suan Layan is now a favorite of ours, we have been back many times with family and friends who all love visiting there. We prefer going for lunch as then you can have a good look around he grounds and see all the animals.
