MORNING STAR RESORT

Morning Star Resort is a small bungalow resort on Ban Khai Beach Koh Phangan. The gardens are lovely and well maintained and the pool overlooks the beach surrounded by palm trees, it was cleaned every day but could really do with a good scrub as there was quite a lot of mould spots on the bottom of the pool.

The rooms are small but had everything we needed, we had fantastic views from both the huge windows, the air con was cold, WIFI was ok and happy to say the bed was comfortable.

We ate breakfast at the restaurant one morning and I ordered omelet with pork, thinking it would be a normal Thai style omelet but it was a terrible western style thing with small rock hard lumps that I guess was the pork, it really was horrible, so that was the last time we at there.

Staff are very friendly here especially the girl on reception, nothing was too much trouble for her. So, for the $43 a night we paid for the beachfront bungalow it was totally worth it.

Not sure if it is due to the time of year etc, but the beach was not nice at all, dirty, lots of rubbish and dog poop everywhere.
